My stay at Grande Kloof Boutique Hotel had its ups and downs. While the location was great and the staff tried their best, the room left quite a bit to be desired, with maintenance issues and noise being major drawbacks. I think it has potential, but it definitely needs some TLC to match its boutique promises.
Rooms
5.0
The room I stayed in was tidy but lacked decor and had some maintenance issues, like cracked paint and poor soundproofing. I could hear everything happening in the lobby, which was distracting. On top of that, it had a broken lock that was supposedly going to be fixed.
Service
6.0
The staff were generally friendly and Anthony, the manager, was accommodating. However, I did have to wait too long for certain issues to be addressed, like the broken lock on my door. The check-in process was a bit chaotic as well.
Location
6.0
Located in a quiet neighborhood, it was close enough to the beach and within walking distance to a few restaurants. It felt safe, and the gated parking was a plus, though sometimes there were parking hassles.
Dining
5.0
Breakfast was offered for a reasonable price, but the options were quite limited—definitely not what I'd expect from a boutique hotel. The quality of the ingredients was okay but could use improvement.
Facilities
5.0
The hotel offered basic facilities, but I encountered issues like no air conditioning in the room and inconsistent Wi-Fi. There are services like laundry and airport shuttles available, which is convenient.

My stay at Grande Kloof Boutique Hotel was marked by contrasts. On one hand, the beautiful location and stunning room caught my attention. However, the maintenance issues and the noise particularly detracted from the experience. Overall, it was a mix of positives and negatives that left me feeling a bit let down.
Rooms
5.0
The room I stayed in had some charming decor, but the overall condition was disappointing, with cracked paintwork and noticeable sound issues due to its proximity to the lobby. I struggled with distractions from the constant noise in the common areas, making it hard to relax.
Service
5.0
While I found the manager, Anthony, to be polite and genuinely trying to assist, the lack of follow-up on complaints and maintenance left a lot to be desired. There was a real absence of professionalism in addressing ongoing issues within the hotel.
Location
6.0
The hotel is in a lovely neighborhood, not far from the beach and close to various activities. however, I expected a little more tranquility, given its placement next to a bus stop and the central lobby.
Dining
6.0
While the breakfast was a nice touch, it started late and offered limited choices that didn’t quite satisfy. I appreciated the quality of ingredients served, yet it felt below what I expected from this type of hotel.
Facilities
5.0
The available facilities like room service and shuttle options were good, though they could have enhanced the overall experience. especially with the lacking room amenities, like proper toiletries and working facilities in my room.

I had a wonderful stay at Grande Kloof Boutique Hotel. The rooms were lovely and spacious, and the service was really good, making check-in a breeze. However, I did find the shower over the bath a bit inconvenient, but the powerful water pressure made up for it. Overall, I'd definitely consider coming back, especially after experiencing the short Uber ride to the stadium for the Rugby World Cup 7's.

My stay at the Grande Kloof Boutique Hotel left me feeling quite mixed. The location was decent and the staff were friendly, but the room itself was disappointing and not what I expected from a boutique hotel. Overall, there was a lack of upkeep that affected my experience. 🌅😞
Rooms

The unit we stayed in was not well-maintained, with shabby decor and uncomfortable beds. Moreover, the bathroom had issues like a leaking shower and the overall ambiance did not match the advertisements. Inaccuracies in room condition really lowered my opinion of the stay.
Service

The staff were friendly and tried to be helpful, especially the manager who assisted me during check-in, but the overall management seemed unprofessional and response to issues was lacking, particularly regarding room maintenance.
Location

While the location was nice and quiet, close to the beach and restaurants, it didn't quite make up for the problems I encountered at the hotel itself.
Dining
6.0
Breakfast was decent, although it would have been nice to see more variety, such as cold meats. The quality of the ingredients was good, but there was limited choice.
Facilities
5.0
Facilities were lacking overall; the apartment I stayed in was poorly equipped for self-catering and the jacuzzi failed to deliver a proper experience. There were also important amenities like hair dryers that were initially unavailable.
